Jaden's 9th Birthday

Jaden turned 9 on September 11th and yes, he still thinks the entire country celebrates with him by flying their flags outside! He turned 2 years old when our country was attacked and he actually remembers it!
Well, since he's really into football right now, he wanted a football themed birthday party. Let me just say this much about the cake: I'm terrible! For the life of me, I couldn't get the stupid white frosting to cooperate which is why you don't see numbers along the yard lines in the 'field'. I finally put a dumb little piece of football candy on it and called it good.

Here's some of the gang chowing down on pizza and soda pop.

The kids all got to make their own "jersey" used for the touch football game we played at the end.

They all loved this one for some reason. They got to pick a prize when they were able to throw the football through the tire. They sat and continued to throw it through long after all the prizes were gone!

Friends and cousins! What a great team!

Go Cowboys!!!! #11 rocks!

Yay, Happy Birthday Jaden, crazy that he is 9. Good Job Debbie, you did good on the cake and games. Football was a good theme for a party, which we lived closer so we could celebrate with you guys.

Great party, Deb! It sounds like lots of fun. I loved the decorating jerseys and football in the tire game.. I'll have to remember for when Gavin gets bigger! And the cake is fantastic too.. I can never control those frosting squirters either. But who needs the numbers, I bet the boys didn't even notice! Happy B-day, J!

Looks like an awesome party! You've got to go with what they're into! The cake looks fabulous! After my first attempt of a nemo cake years ago, we now have cupcakes and the kids get to choose......what color of frosting!

Cute cake! I don't ever attempt cakes because I can't even make plain frosting look good, let alone anything fancy. Costco and Cold Stone are my cake makers.

I'm TOTALLY copying this for Bridger's party next month! What did you use on the jerseys? Regular markers? I'm loving this! Good job! Anything else you did that I can copy!?!?!
